Re: Jesse Lingard on battle with depression
A couple of things ...
I think its a good thing that people can admit to mental health issues and talk about them.
In the past anyone admitting that would have been regarded as MAD, A LOONEY & be treated with suspicion.
BUT ... I think people have to understand that depression is a serious illness and far different from people feeling a bit down, having a disappointment (work, relationship etc) in their life.
It does seem that some people seeing that their life isn't 100% beer and skittles want to claim that that is a MENTAL HEALTH issue. No , its life.

What about us life long West Ham supporters?

That’s real depression over 50 - 60 years with the odd period of respite ;-)

How many times a day do we have to hear mental health and well-being?

Getting boring now.

Re: Jesse Lingard on battle with depression

You're assuming depression is logical, I'd have thought after Gary Speed it would be obvious that people still struggle despite leading a great life on face value.

Yeah, it must be so tough being a Premier League footballer, FA Cup Final winning goal scorer and World Cup semi finalist raking in per week more than most people earn in a year.

My heart bleeds for him.

Could be a factor in him maybe deciding to stay here, if he's really loving it.

Clutching at straws...
